Graduate Profile
All graduates of the Diploma in Digital Animation should be proficient in the tasks stated below:
- Have an in depth understanding of how to manage a digital workflow.
- Have the skills to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Be able to pre-visualise, plan and produce creative projects.
- Be capable enough to operate Maya 2009 at a level entry capacity.
- Create 3D models using both Polygons, NURBS and Subdivs.
- Create and apply textures to 3D models.
- Understand animation principles and apply them to all their work.
- Have an understanding of Basic cinematography.
- Be able to composite and edit their work independently.
- Be capable of working confidently as a 3D Animator in career pathways appropriate to the individuals preferred choice of specialty field.
- Have basic business and marketing skills necessary to be a freelance animator.
